William E. Leahy qualified as a solicitor in 1963 and is Senior Partner of the Firm. He has completed many years as a general practitioner and in recent times, he has concentrated on dealing with private clients and provides a service for clients in relation to title matters and estate management. He and his father before him have a long involvement in advising on Local Authority Law.

David S. Leahy qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and is now Managing Partner of the firm. While running the practice, he concentrates his efforts on substantial property transactions including private client, local authority, residential and commercial conveyancing.

Desmond G. Deeney has specialised in property and personal injury claims since qualifying as a solicitor in 1972. He has gained invaluable experience, initially as partner in charge of litigation in a long established, well known Limerick City firm and subsequently in 1990 as principal of Desmond G. Deeney and Company acting exclusively in litigation (property damage and personal injury claims) for domestic and international insurers.

Will Leahy qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and is a Partner in the Civil Litigation and Local Authority Department of the firm. He concentrates his efforts on personal injury and property damage cases in the Circuit and High Courts.William holds a B.A. and L.L.B. (honours) from University College Galway. William is also a well known broadcaster with RTE.

Lena Barry has been with Leahy & Partners Solicitors since she qualified as a solicitor in long vacation 2001. She is a Partner in the Conveyancing and Local Authority Department of the firm. Lena holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Accounting (Hons, 1997) and a Master of Laws in European and Comparative Law (Hons, 1998) from the University of Limerick. Lena specialises in all aspects of property law including local authority CPOs, private client, acquisitions, disposals, and advising on lending aspects in connection with property financing.

Alec qualified as a solicitor in Hilary Term 2000 and is a Partner in the Probate and Employment Law Department of the firm. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Laws degree (Hons, 1997), a Diploma in Business Studies DBS (Hons, 1998) and a Diploma in Trusts & Estate Planning (2006). Alec’s main areas of practice center on commercial law for clients most notably employment law and liquor licensing and general operational matters. Alec also advises clients on wills, probate, trusts and the administration of estates and is a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Alec was appointed a Notary Public for Limerick, Clare, Kerry, Tipperary and Cork in March 2009.

Philip Deeney has been with Leahy & Partners since 2000 qualifying as a Solicitor in 2002. Philip holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B Hons). He practices in a wide spectrum of legal areas including residential property transactions, Civil and Criminal District Court and Circuit Court Litigation and Debt Collection.

Sandra McCarthy qualified as a solicitor in 2007. She deals with a wide variety of matters including local authority issues and concentrates on probate and conveyancing in particular. Sandra holds an LL.B (Hons) in Law and European Studies from the University of Limerick.

Edward graduated with degrees in Commerce and Law from University College Galway in 2002. Edward was admitted as a solicitor in Ireland in 2007 and subsequently in England and Wales in 2010. Edward also obtained a diploma from the Law Society of Ireland in Employment Law in 2010.
