The 2008 BDO Get BACk Challenge will take place on Saturday, 21st June. This year the Get BACk Challenge will feature a 20km walk and 100km and 220km cycle.

What cyclists and walkers are contributing to: This year we are hoping to exceed a total of half a million euros raised over the three years of the BDO Get BACk Challenge. Over the past two years the funds raised from the event have been donated to Cancer Care in the Mid-West in addition to funding Sporting Disadvantaged children.
Cancer Care Nearly €200,000 has been donated to Cancer Care equipment in the Mid-West Regional Hospital in addition to funding hospice home care programmes in Milford Hospice, Limerick, Cahercalla Hospice, Ennis, Co. Clare and The North Tipperary Hospice.
Sporting Disadvantaged A total of €100,000 has been contributed to a series of programmes that benefit children from socially disadvantaged areas. In addition to these programmes almost 4,000 children have benefited from grants provided to clubs and organisations that provide sporting opportunities for sporting disadvantaged children.
Event Programme 20km Walk – departing from Kilmihil, Co. Clare to Doonbeg Golf Club, Doonbeg, Co. Clare.
100km Cycle – 100km Cycle will depart from the Clarion Hotel in Limerick travelling through Ennis, Lahinch, Spanish Point to Doonbeg Golf Club.
220km Cycle – Friday, 20th June – 120km cycle will take participants from Galway along the coastal route through north Clare to Kinvara, Ballyvaughan, Lisdoonvarna, Ennis to Limerick.
The second leg of the 220km cycle will involve the 100km cycle from Limerick to Doonbeg as part of the larger BDO Get BACk Challenge 100km cycle
